Understanding Deposit Refunds

When it comes to refunds on Dabble, it’s essential to understand the process, associated timelines, and applicable terms. Below is a detailed guide to help you.

Refund eligibility and terms

  • Deposited funds generally need to be played through before they're eligible for withdrawal.

  • If you'd like to withdraw a deposit without playing it through, you'll need to confirm the request with Dabble Support - doing so may mean forfeiting any promotional funds tied to that deposit. It's best to only deposit what you're comfortable using either way.

  • Once an entry is placed and confirmed, it can't be cancelled or refunded - entries stand and settle based on official results.

  • Deposits already used to place entries can't be refunded.

Refund Processing Timelines

Timelines can vary slightly by bank, but as a standard:

  • General refunds: Typically take 1-3 business days (Monday to Friday) to be credited back to your original payment method.

  • Extended timeframes: In some cases, this can take up to 5 business days.

A few factors can affect how long a refund takes - whether your bank supports real-time payments, bank holidays, weekends, and your card issuer's own policies. If your bank doesn't support instant payments, expect the full 3 business days or potentially longer.

Note: Refunds only process on business days. Keep an eye on your bank account for updates, and if a refund hasn't shown up after the expected window, reach out to your bank or payment provider directly - they can often explain the delay and help resolve it on their end.

Deposits vs. withdrawals - a quick distinction

  • Deposit: adds funds to your Dabble account to use for entries.

  • Withdrawal: moves funds out of your Dabble account back to your linked payment method.

If you deposit by mistake, the full amount can be refunded to your original payment method upon request (if unused).

How to request a refund

  1. Contact Dabble Support using the in-app Live Chat option.

  2. Confirm which deposit you'd like refunded.

Once the request is confirmed by Dabble, the refund will be processed.

FAQs

Can I speed up the refund process?

Not really - refund speed depends on your bank's own systems once Dabble has issued it. Your bank or card issuer may be able to give you a more specific timeline.

Why doesn't my refund show up instantly?

Refunds still need to be processed at the bank or card issuer level after Dabble sends them - that step is outside Dabble's control.
