Common causes of deposit failures or declines
Insufficient funds in the linked account
Banking issues, such as a blocked or declined payment
Payment processor safety checks kicking in to protect transaction integrity
Incorrect payment details, or an outdated version of the app
A weak internet connection or location services interfering with the transaction
Mismatched payment details - card number, expiration date, or CVV
Using an unsupported payment method, such as a prepaid card, Amex, or gift card
Note: Some banks apply merchant category restrictions or extra fraud checks that can block a transaction even when your details are correct. After several failed attempts, your bank or the payment processor may temporarily block further tries.
Before retrying your deposit
Ensure your payment method is acceptable (Credit Card, Debit Card, or Apple Pay)
Confirm your payment details are accurate (e.g., card number, expiration, CVV)
Confirm sufficient account funds
Verify that payment details are accurate
Maintain a stable internet connection during the transaction
Make sure the billing address on your payment method matches the address in your Dabble account profile
If a deposit shows as "pending"
If a payment shows pending but never completes, the funds never actually reached Dabble.
Standard pending transactions: funds are usually released back to your account within 48 hours.
Weekends or holidays: processing can extend to up to 3 business days.
Repeated failed attempts or rapid retries can trigger a security flag. Allow 24–48 hours for that block to clear before retrying.
Addressing Specific Scenarios
Frequent failed attempts - Repeated failures can temporarily block further attempts at the payment processor or bank level. Wait 24–48 hours before trying again - excessive attempts can flag your account. If it keeps happening, try a new card or a different payment method.
Bank-related issues - Contact your bank directly to understand why they're declining the payment. Confirm there are no restrictions on your linked card.
App troubleshooting - Log out and back into the Dabble app, or uninstall and reinstall it to refresh your session data. Make sure you're on the latest version from the Google Play Store or App Store.
Location-based troubleshooting - Enable location services and high-accuracy mode (Android). Make sure your device isn't in battery saver mode, and disable any mock location services or VPNs. Retry your deposit once these are set.
Apple Pay deposit fails - Update the app, log out and back in, or try an alternative payment method.
