Aeropay Troubleshooting

Linking a bank account is a key step in using Dabble's payment system. If you're having trouble linking a new account, updating an existing one, or running into withdrawal issues, the steps below should help.

Trouble linking a new bank account

A few things can get in the way:

  • Aeropay account setup: Make sure your Aeropay account is active and your personal details are up to date (email and phone number). You can update this by logging into the Aeropay portal or contacting Aeropay at [email protected].

  • Account ownership: The bank account must be in your name, and not shared across multiple Dabble accounts.

  • Checking accounts only: Only checking accounts are eligible for linking. Trying to link a savings account or other account type will return an error.

Eligibility requirements, in full:

  1. The bank account must be in your name (matching your legal name) - accounts belonging to family or friends can't be linked.

  2. Only checking accounts are eligible. Debit/credit cards and savings accounts aren't supported for bank linking.

  3. The account must be linked to a single Dabble profile only. If it was previously used on a deactivated or deleted profile, it can't be linked again.

Resolving a "User already linked" error

This error usually means your Aeropay account or the bank link you're attempting is in conflict with an existing one.

Confirm your Aeropay account status:

  • Log into the Aeropay portal to verify the email address and phone number linked to Dabble, and update it if needed

  • Make sure the bank account is active

Double-check eligibility:

  • Confirm the account is a checking account in your name

If the issue persists, try logging out of your Dabble account and back in for the changes to take effect.

Resolving issues with withdrawals

  • Declined withdrawals

    • These usually happen when the linked bank account isn't in your name. Contact Aeropay at [email protected] to resolve it, and manually add your bank details in the meantime so you can keep withdrawing while it's worked out.

  • Previously used bank accounts

    • If your account was linked to another Dabble profile, it won't be eligible until that link is removed - consider using a different checking account in your name instead.

  • Manual withdrawals

    • If Fast Withdrawal setup fails, or your account isn't showing in Dabble, you can manually connect it via the bank-linking option in the app. Manual withdrawals can take up to 3 business days to process.

Addressing bank account ownership and verification issues

  • Name mismatches

    • If your Dabble account name doesn't match the name on your linked bank account, log into Aeropay to review your linked accounts. You'll likely need to provide a PDF bank statement showing the account owner's name, routing number, and any transactions related to Dabble.

  • Updating account information

    • When re-linking or updating a bank account, make sure the new details are accurate. Remove any closed accounts entirely before linking a replacement.

  • Documentation to have ready

    • A government-issued ID for identity verification.

    • PDF bank statements showing the account owner's name, routing number, and recent transactions.

Escalating to Aeropay Support

For unresolved issues - including "bank linking disabled" errors that won't clear - email Aeropay directly at [email protected] with details of your issue.

Aeropay handles the backend banking processes for Dabble and can often resolve technical problems directly.

Before reaching out to Aeropay, have ready:

  • Your government-issued ID.

  • A screenshot of your Dabble profile (showing your name and email).

  • A note of the exact error message and what triggered it (e.g. phone number authentication, account selection).

Suspension of withdrawals: causes and resolution

If your account is temporarily suspended from withdrawing, it's most often tied to an unresolved issue with your linked Aeropay account causing delays in processing.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Contact Aeropay at [email protected] and describe the issue, along with any relevant account or withdrawal details.

  2. Resolve the underlying issue with Aeropay - this might be incorrect account info or a verification gap.

  3. Get written confirmation from Aeropay once it's resolved (typically by email).

  4. Submit that confirmation to Dabble Support, along with a screenshot showing the resolution.

  5. Wait for Dabble's review - once confirmed, your withdrawal privileges will be reinstated and you'll be notified.

Final Tips and Recommendations

  • Check your spam/junk folder for missed communications from Aeropay or Dabble.

  • Once reinstated, follow up with Dabble to confirm any account blocks have been fully lifted.

  • Any pending withdrawals can be re-requested and will process in the next payment cycle.

Additional escalation options

If you haven't heard back from Aeropay within a reasonable timeframe (around 48 hours), send a fresh email rather than replying to the original thread.

Dabble's Live Chat support can also help connect you with an Aeropay representative for faster resolution.
